The Smell from the Roof- Part II
It's baaaack... The water stain on the ceiling tile and the horrific smell reappeared after a week. I came in Monday morning and there it was. So the roofer came out this morning, fixed a hole in the roof and told me that the wet insulation *might* dry in 2 weeks, but probably not and it will run about $700 to remove & replace. So the smell remains until either one of those happen. The roofer removed a bit of the water-logged material and instantly I knew that was the source of the stink. After some begging, pleading and comedic ass kissing, one of the very kind partners agreed the smell is horrific and can't imagine how I'm working in there and said he'll get it taken care of. I kept the nasty smelling material in a ziploc bag for proof- they're lawyers after all. I actually ended up having to leave work early yesterday because the odor gave me a headache and made me nauseous. Today I worked at a different desk with a crappy computer that I cannot use to finalize bills (which is the majority of my job). Upon getting approval, I called the roofer and left a message. I hope they'll call me tomorrow morning and say they can come out right away, but it will probably be more like Friday. All of my coworkers keep complaing about the smell when they just walk by my office- and I have to work in there. I swear the smell is still in my nose. Bleeech.

Yuk! Hopefully they will get it fixed soon!
It's been fixed- and it is wonderful! But it still smells some since it's airing out.
