The Smell From the Roof

So I come into work this morning and my office reeks- like a week old, warm can of tuna. I thought it was the flowers Tony sent me a few weeks ago so I dumped them- the smell remained. So I think that maybe the cleaning lady didn't replace the bag in my trash can and I move it out of my office- the smell is still there. Going crazy, I douse my office in air freshener and light a candle. I kept searching my office for any sign of the smell and noticed a water stain on the ceiling tile. My boss moved it and lo and behold- there was the source of the stink. Luckily the receptionist called out so I don't have to sit in my stinky office all day. I called the roofer and they told me they'd let me know what they found, but apparantly they left! So now my office is still stinky and I don't know what to do. The odor has intensified from rotten tuna to rotting flesh and it is just nauseating. Yuck.

The smell has now dissipated- thank God. I was finally told that it was probably stagnant water that made its way in yet they couldn't find a leak. My very kind boss changed the ceiling tile and thankfully after a few days the smell was gone. I work as an "Administrative Specialist" (billing, fixing office equipment, phone coverage, other general B.S. that they cannot live without) at a law firm.
